The Passion Of Jesus Of Nazareth

AP: In 2008 I co-edited a book on the passion of Jesus:
Antonio Piñero and Eugenio Gómez Segura (eds.) with the collaboration of José Ramón Pérez-Accino, Javier Alonso, and Domingo Sola, La verdadera historia de la Pasión (Madrid: Edaf, 2008), 267 pp. ISBN: 978-84-414-2017-5.
The passion, death, and resurrection of Jesus undoubtedly represent the central and indispensable pillar on which the ancient Christian religion was based. However, what do we know for sure about these fundamental episodes? What can we learn today from modern archeology, history, a comparative study of religions, the scientific analysis of the documents that exist?

Hoping to answer these questions, a group of us met for an intense two-day seminar, organized by Eugenio Gómez Segura (author of a controversial book titled Pablo Dios Tarso. El segundo hijo de Dios [Madrid: Editorial Oberon, 2006]) and sponsored by the People's University of Logroño. We exchanged our work and our points of view, we discussed in public before a large group of students, and the result was this book.
